Answering Questions Nobody is Asking

I've been in the ministry long enough to know that sometimes no matter what we do, it doesn't translate into having more participation at church...

If you are like me, you're probably wondering why some people don't want to come to church anymore. I read somewhere (i read a lot of blogs and books about ministry in general so please forgive me for not quoting the right source) that people who come to church nowadays are looking for answers. If they don't find those answers, they won't come back.

As a worship pastor, I design our church services to have both seekers and consistent members in mind. When I pick songs and plan transitions and items within the service, I often ask myself, are we answering questions no one cares about?

Sure we always talk about the goodness of God, His gift of Salvation, and everything under the will of God; but are those the answers that the people who come to church are looking for?

Let me know in the comment section below what you think we should be doing as church leaders...are we supposed to continue the trend of doing topical messages a.k.a Series of messages, or better preach the whole counsel of God's Word. Or should we consider answering the questions that matter to people?
